The Ruger Super GP100 is the latest revolver from the company’s custom shop, and it’s a nod to the fact that eight-shot wheel guns chambered in .38 Special have become extremely popular in action shooting competition. It stems from Ruger’s foray into competitive shooting; when the company formed its first ever professional shooting team, it also entered the eight-shot revolver market with a Redhawk model. That gun has now been updated; the result is the Super GP100 chambered in .357 Magnum, a factory-tuned, eight-shot double-action revolver that can shoot .38 Special. Learn more about it in the video embedded above, hosted by Editor in Chief J. Scott Olmsted. MSRP: $1,549; ruger.com.
