Available in 12- and 20-gauge, the new Fox A Grade side-by-side shotgun by Savage Arms isn't the highly decorated show gun of the past, but rather a throwback design that embraces the concept of producing quality Fox guns with a strong action and little ornamentation. Built by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing to specs put forth by Savage Arms, each of the four new Fox shotguns sport a beautiful oil-finished, black walnut stock around a bone-charcoal, color-casehardened steel receiver. Scrollwork on the tang lever and receiver is subtle, but enough to let you know the Fox A Grade still has pedigree. It has a straight, low-comb buttstock with a straight, English-style grip, double triggers and a hard rubber buttplate. It's a great looking shotgun that points well and is a lot of fun to shoot. Learn more about it in the video embedded above, hosted by Managing Editor Jon Draper. MSRP: $4,999; savagearms.com.
