Leupold & Stevens, Inc. has announced its new SX-4 Pro Guide HD line of spotting scopes, which the company says are built to take on the harshest conditions and deliver relentless performance. Two SX-4 Pro Guide HD spotters are available: a 20x-60x-85mm model and a 15x-45x-65mm model, both of which are offered in a straight or angled eyepiece design.

The SX-4 Pro Guide HD spotting scopes serve as a companion to the company’s BX-4 Pro Guide HD binocular line. Like their predecessors, the new spotters deliver exceptionally sharp images with an ultra-smooth focus. Thanks to Leupold’s proprietary Twilight Max HD Light Management System, the SX-4 Pro Guide HD is capable of adding up to 30 extra minutes of glassing light and, according to the company, will eliminate 90 percent more glare-producing stray light than its competitors. Twist-up eyecups increase comfort, while a generous, oversized eye-box helps eliminate eye-strain and fatigue.

“We’ve been working on the SX-4 Pro Guide HD spotting scopes for a while now,” said Zach Bird, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc., “We wanted to make sure that they delivered exactly what core hunters and shooters have been asking for—and we achieved that thanks to our in-house optical engineering team working right here every day in Beaverton, Ore., to bring our consumers they product quality that they deserve.”

The SX-4 Pro Guide HD spotting scopes are 100 percent waterproof and fogproof, and shed dirt and water for clear, crisp images with a Guard-ion lens coating. Both models have a ¼-20 thread tripod adaptor and come with a protective, soft-sided case.

The new spotting scopes have been tested in extreme climates, and are guaranteed to provide the rugged performance that Leupold is known for—plus, they’re backed by Leupold’s Full Lifetime Guarantee. The angled SX-4 Pro Guide HD models weigh in at 78.2 ounces, while the straight eyepiece models weigh 62 ounces. Both straight and angled models come in a Shadow Grey finish and have an MSRP of $1,039.99-$1,299.99.
