As Weatherby plans its move from Paso Robles, Calif., to Sheridan, Wyo., in 2019, it announces the addition of two key sales and product-development executives.

On April 2, the company introduced Luke Thorkildsen as Weatherby's new vice president of sales, marketing and product development. In addition, Justin Clark joined the company as director of sales and customer service. Thorkildsen previously represented Walther Arms in the same capacity. Clark previously served as director of sales at Gunwerks, in Cody, Wyo.

“We’re building a roadmap that combines exciting innovations in product development,” said Thorkildsen, “along with authentic marketing and a dynamic sales network strategy that will put more hard-hitting, flat-shooting Weatherby rifles into the hands of hunters and shooters, worldwide.”

Both men take with them to Weatherby proven expertise in the firearm industry, and passion for the shooting sports and hunting.

“By assembling a group that embraces hunting and shooting, at work and at home, we ensure that Weatherby’s mission is in very good hands,” said CEO Adam Weatherby. The company will recruit additional firearm and hunting experts to the staff of the family-owned company. “Our move to Wyoming is more than a geographic relocation,” said Weatherby. “It’s a company-wide revitalization. Here we will not only build the finest rifles to ever bear the Weatherby name, but we’re also amassing the most talented and passionate group of professionals ever assembled in the shooting-sports industry. The next decade will engrain our name as deeply in rifle innovation as my ‘wildcatter’ grandfather Roy Weatherby did back in the 1940s.”
