It’s the end of the world as coyotes and other varmints know it, because this week we’re taking a look at the Varmageddon AR from Nosler. No doubt you know Nosler as an ammunition company, but it has also offered highly praised hunting rifles for the past 10 years. Unlike Nosler’s Model 48 bolt-action rifles, which the company builds at its headquarters in Bend, Oregon, the Varmageddon AR represents a partnership between Nosler and well-respected AR manufacturer Noveske Rifleworks. Noveske builds the Varmageddon for Nosler, and the result is a precision AR with a long list of high-end features. This is the Ferrari of varmint rifles. Learn more about it with the video embedded above, hosted by Executive Editor Adam Heggenstaller.

Hardware Review: Steyr Pro Hunter III SX

While its most recognizable gun remains the ever-futuristic-looking AUG tactical bullpup first made in 1977 and still used by militaries worldwide, Steyr also makes handguns and hunting rifles. Its Pro Hunter III SX rifle is an all-around hunting rifle and a great example of Steyr quality, a trait much easier felt than described. I’ll try it anyway.
