SHOT Show 2016 doesn't kick off for a few more days, but that hasn't stopped some of the industry's biggest names from rolling out news regarding their new releases. One of Browning's first salvos was the announcement that the company's "Sweet Sixteen" is making a triumphant return. The venerable A5 autoloader will be available in 16 gauge and, like its predecessor, will be built on a smaller, lighter receiver. All told, the shotgun will weigh just shy of six pounds.

Like its A5 brethren, the A5 Sweet Sixteen will use kinetic energy to power the recoil-operated Kinematic Drive System for reliable function with any load. The 2¾” chambered, 16 gauge receiver is constructed of strong, lightweight aluminum alloy with a black anodized bi-tone finish.

The stock and forearm are gloss finish walnut with a close radius pistol grip and sharp 18 lines-per-inch checkering. The stock is also shim adjustable for length of pull, cast and drop, and includes ¼” and ½” stock spacers for length of pull adjustments.

Three Invector-DS chokes are supplied. Barrels come in 26” or 28” lengths and three Invector-DS chokes will be supplied. The A5 Sweet Sixteen hips with an MSRP of $1,699.99.
