Nikon's Fieldscope line is expanding and, for the first time, will be joined by the company's flagship Monarch product family. Meant to serve as successor models to Nikon's ED82/EDIII Fieldscopes, the new Monarch Fieldscopes are designed to deliver a first-rate optical system at a price point that should raise the eyebrows of every American hunter.

The new Fieldscopes feature an Advanced Apochromat Optical System with ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, which minimizes color fringing to the furthest degree across the entire light spectrum. A multilayer coating is applied to all lens and prism surfaces, allowing maximum light transmission. The new Field Flattener Lens system is also built in. The advanced lens system is meant to provide consistent, edge-to-edge sharpness while compensating astigmatism and coma aberration at the same time.

Nikon has attached its Optimized Focusing System to the Monarch Fieldscopes, provided difference focus speeds that will allow the user to acquire and identify objects faster and easier than ever before. An aluminum alloy design will help the entire package survive anything most hunters can throw at it. Each model is waterproof, sealed with O-rings and packing seals.

Oh and, like we said, the prices should catch your eye. MSRPs will range between $1399.95 and $1599.95.
