Later this month, I'll post an overview of all the great new bows for 2016. In the meantime, here is what's new from a variety of other companies.

YETI debuts the new Tundra 350 with super-huge storage capacity featuring a ColdLock gasket and up to 3 inches of Permafrost insulation. Like its other coolers, it's built from one piece rotomolded material and has a NeverFail hinge system. It also debuts the Hopper 40, just the thing for hauling three dozen cans plus ice. It will expand its Rambler stainless steel line come spring. Watch for Rambler bottles in 18, 36 and 64-ounce options.

Need new boots for the New Year? I'm a fan of Irish Setter's expanding Rutmaster line but as for what's trending, check out it's Elk Tracker boot in 400 and 800 gram insulation options. They're super lightweight but rugged and feature both leather and camo fabric to drop weight. Its new men's and women's Vaprtrek boots provide up to 1200 grams of insulation.

Hunter Safety Systems, winner of an NRA Golden Bullseye Award from American Hunter in 2014, kicks off its 15th year with a new padded and durable treestand Hangar Harness sporting pouches for your saw and other tools so you keep your regular hunting harness scent-free. A new Crossbow Harness sports a tether stow, a ripcord for your rangefinder, a left-side pocket for your cell phone and grunt call and a pouch on the right to keep your crossbow cocker secure and handy.

Hi Mountain Seasonings celebrates 25 years of helping us all make tasty food. Check out its jerky cure, sausage and seasoning kits and new line of finishing sauces, a new Spicy Lime blend and new Home Hot Dog Making Kit for a healthy homemade twist on hot dogs.

Ideal for both the hunting camp and the home, CanCooker helps you cater to your crowd and serve stress-free meals in 30 minutes. Choose from 2- and 4-gallon options. A new propane burner and foldable chicken rack may be just the thing for your next tailgate party. CanCooker has new recipes on its website each week and recently launched a cookbook that will come in handy in hunting camp.

Fans of Skull Hooker, maker of notable European skull mount brackets, will want to check out its new Table Hooker model for hunters who prefer to set their mounts on their desk, table or shelf.

Member's Hunt: Patience is Tough When You Shoot a Big Buck

My phone still in my hands, I texted my teenage son, who was hunting along the field not far away. Trying not to move any part of my body but my thumbs, I sent the message, “Got a buck down, but he’s still alive. Help!” Tucker texted back, “What do you want me to do?” I replied: “Come kill the bastard before he kills me!” Intrigued? Read on.

Hardware Review: Christensen Arms Evoke .375 H&H

A .375 H&H Magnum for less than $1,000 is a win for hunters on any continent, especially when it comes packed with features and has the sub-MOA accuracy potential of the American-made Evoke from Christensen Arms.

New for 2026: Avian-X Waterfowl Backpacks

Expanding its assortment to include soft goods in 2026, waterfowl brand Avian-X has announced an all-new lineup of packs specifically designed to keep waterfowl hunters organized, mobile and ready for anything.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

Norma’s ballistician Nils Kvale saw the wisdom of having the velocity and horsepower of the .300 H&H Magnum, but in a shorter, more affordable receiver, and used the H&H case to develop his .358 Norma Magnum in 1959 as well as the .308 Norma Magnum one year later. The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued? Read on about this often unfairly overlooked hunting classic.
