The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation is holding its third annual Protecting Outdoor Pursuits raffle and some of the industry’s finest have donated to help ensure the future of hunting, fishing and the outdoor sports. Total value of this year’s prizes comes in at $220,000. One-hundred and twenty-five winning names will be drawn on Oct. 21.
Hornady Security is among the legendary firms donating. Five entrants will claim one of the company’s highly regarded Hornady Mobilis Safes. MSRP is $3,173.99 each. There’s also a case of Hornady Precision Hunter ammo (MSRP $700) going to a lucky enthusiast, or opening day camp, if they care to share.
CZ has donated a CZ 600+ American, a classic-style bolt-action rifle with a Turkish walnut stock with a lily motif on the grip. It’s valued at $999.99. Silencer Central sweetened the pot by providing twenty-five $800 gift cards.
Rogers Sporting Goods led the way in donors, however, providing 30 gift cards with a combined total value of $100,000. There’s also a Tracker Off Road 800 SX LE Crew ATV from Bass Pro/Cabela’s and a Grizzly EPS Realtree Camo ATV provided by Yamaha.
Add a Marlin 1894 lever-action rifle, TrueTimber gear, Vortex 3X prism scope, Tactacam trail cameras and a pair of Fausti shotguns and there’s something for very hunter. As if that’s not enough, there’s also a PitBoss smoker on the prize list as well as gift cards from Lew’s and Strike King—to fill those fishing tackle boxes.

Money raised will support the efforts of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation. The organization was established in 1989 to “…protect all fin, feather and fur pursuits and give a voice to hunters, anglers and recreational shooters.” Since then its been a reliable voice for sportsmen on Capitol Hill and capitals in every state.
