It feels like just yesterday (though, in reality, it was about five days ago) that we awarded Benelli's Ethos with the Golden Bullseye for Shotgun of the Year. On the heels of that announcement, Benelli is expanding its now award-winning line, with the introduction of a 20-gauge edition.

The new Ethos 20—which presumably makes the original the Ethos 12—looks like it could be nearly as in demand as its "big" brother. It weighs in at just under six pounds, and like its predecessor, will cycle any 2¾ or 3" load from light to magnum interchangeably. The 20-gauge model features the same ergonomics, Progressive Comfort recoil reduction system and satin walnut stock and forearm as the original design.

The shotgun features the trademark Ethos replaceable carbon fiber rib and interchangeable front site, allowing consumers to easily switch between red, green or yellow fiber-optic inserts. All of which are supplied with the gun, by the way. One new addition is a patented anti-seize magazine cap, which incorporates a synthetic bushing in the magazine cap to prevent binding from grit or foul weather.

The Ethos 20 is available now, and should be able to be found at any dealer carrying Benelli products.
