Bushnell has introduced its new Trophy Cam Essential, a trail camera that sports a one-year battery life and fast trigger speed that the company hopes might make it one of the most affordable scouting tools on the market.

The Trophy Cam Essential has been designed for the hunter that demands performance and reliability. It features 32 low-glow 32 low-glow LEDs, a 6MP camera, video mode and Field Scan technology. It's designed to capture high-resolution color images during the day, before switching to black and white images at night. The Field Scan 2x technology allows users to program two windows of time lapse capture at preset intervals ranging from one minute to 60 minutes
