Streamlight has introduced a new version of its rechargeable HID LiteBox searchlight, with a 12-volt DC power cord to allow for continuous operation.

The HID LiteBox searchlight features High Intensity Discharge technology to provide users with a light that can illuminate objects out to a mile away. This new model gives users the flexibility of using the battery or plugging into a DC power source.

The lantern combines a 35-watt Xenon lamp with Streamlight's deep-dish parabolic reflector technology to deliver 3,350 lumens and one million candela peak beam intensity. The searchlight produces a long-range focused beam that is ideal for search and rescue operations and illuminating public areas, roadways or accident scenes.

It includes a 10-foot cord that can be plugged into a 12-volt DC power source, and has a zero-maintenance 12-volt, 7.2 Amp/hour sealed lead acid rechargeable battery is rechargeable up to 500 times, and operates the HID lamp for up to 1.75 hours per charge.
