Leica Sport Optics has announced its new Rangemaster CRF 2400-R handheld laser rangefinder, which measures up to 2,400 yards.

Designed for hunters spotting game at long distances, the Rangemaster CRF 2400-R’s newly-designed LED display increases precise readability of scanned distances and ballistic data. It’s extremely fast scan mode takes measurements every 0.5 seconds, and distances are displayed in 0.1-yard increments over 200 yards.

The Rangemaster CRF 2400-R also determines the equivalent horizontal range (EHR) relevant for hunting up to a distance of 1,200 yards when required. With this feature, the unit provides the practical angle-compensated distance, which is essential for an accurate long-distance shot.

The unit weighs just 6.5 ounces and comes equipped with AquaDura hydrophobic coating, ensuring that the lenses are protected from the wear and tear of a hunt.

The Rangemaster CRF 2400-R has an MSRP of $499 and will be available for purchase at Leica retailers in late September 2018.
