It's no secret that you're supposed to clean yourself (and your gun, naturally) up after a day at the range or on the reloading bench. Lead works great for ammunition, but it's not something you typically want lingering on your person. While, sure, a little soap and water will typically clean you up just fine, there are probably more efficient solutions. Actually, there definitely is, because on the first day of the 145th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, Hoppe's announced one.

The company's new Lead-B-Gone Skin Cleaning Wipes are designed to lift and trap lead, nickel, cadmium, arsenic, silver mercury, zinc, chromium, copper, antimony and other metals without smearing. Better yet: They're proven to remove 98.8 percent of contaminants on their own, and 99.9 percent when backed by a water rinse. Soap and water alone? 72 percent.

The wipes are meant to be used to wipe down your hands, arms, face, neck and any working surfaces after cleaning your firearm. They're packaged in a container that should be range bag friendly, too.

Features:

• Removes up to 99.9 percent of metal contaminants with water rinse (soap and water typically remove 72 percent)
• Saturated with gentle pH cleaner
• Soft towels life and trap lead and metal dust
• Contains aloe skin moisturizers
• Disposable
