Those who shoot long distance from any position other than prone (or off a bench) know the value of being able to lock their rifle on target with a standalone tripod. This can be accomplished easily and firmly with the Ulfhednar Deadlock Clamp. Standard 1/4-20 & 3/8-16 threads allow direct mounting on most standard tripods or ball heads—including Ulfhednar's Tripod HD 40.

The Deadlock is quick to maneuver from both sides, with rubber grips clamping the rifle to provide protection and help absorb vibration. A large knob, meanwhile, makes it easy to adjust with one hand. Made from 7075 T651 aluminum, with a black MIL-A-8625 Type III hard-coat anodized surface, the dimensions are 95X95X60mm (3.75X3.75X2.35 inches); the knob does add 25mm, or .98 inches beyond this, however. The clamp itself weighs in at 500 grams (17.64 oz.), and comes with a small Ulfhednar storage pouch with Molle on the back for easy transportation.
