The NRA Whittington Center is raffling off a trophy American bison hunt, a rifle and an original piece of art commemorating the hunt.

The winner will receive a two-day bison hunt in New Mexico with LaMont’s Wild West Buffalo outfitting service, an original 1874 Sharps rifle in .50-70—restored to like-new factory condition by Tyler Gun Works—along the rifle’s certificate of authenticity which includes some of the rifle’s history. 40 rounds of smokeless factory ammo is also included.

A commemorative knife made locally from Damascus steel and a handmade sheath featuring an original Sioux pattern from the 1800s is also part of the prize package. Lastly, the winner will also receive an original piece of artwork depicting a buffalo hunter with his Sharps rifle drawn by local Western artist Ronald Kil.

Raffle tickets cost $100 per ticket, and only 1,000 tickets are available. The winner will be drawn in September 2019, with the hunt taking place later that winter. The winner is responsible for applicable taxes.
