Vortex Optics has announced its new Fury HD 10x42 Rangefinding binocular, which will be capable of ranging reflective targets out to 1600 yards.

An illuminated right barrel display can be set to yards or meters. The Fury features angle compensated, as well as line of sight modes to match user preferences and applications. A "Scan" mode gives readings as the user pans or tracks a moving animal.

The right side controls are designed for ease of use with a single hand, leaving the user's other hand free to hold a bow or rifle.

The Fury's dialectic fully multi-coated prisms and XR full multicoated HD lenses are meant to deliver clear, crisp views in any situation. A rubber armored housing provides for a solid grip and enhanced durability.

The Vortex Fury HD ships with an MSRP of $1,599.
