The Outpost Armory has announced a 27,000 square foot, state-of-the-art firearms range, training facility and retail store expansion in Tennessee, to be completed during winter 2016. Of particular note is the fact that the new range will be available exclusively to NRA members.

The new location at 215 West Castle Street in the heart of Murfreesboro's business and dining district will feature the company's second fully stocked firearms store in addition to the range and training facilities.

"Firearms have been my family's business and passion for as long as I can remember," said Chris Barrett, founder and owner of both Outpost Armory locations. "And for longer than I have been alive, forces have conspired to take away our God given right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the US Constitution. For years, the National Rifle Association of America has been first and most effective at defending those rights. The NRA's five million members defend the freedoms of over fifty million gun owners. I want to use this range to help the NRA double its membership to ten million members."

The Outpost Armory will offer NRA memberships at the range, with all proceeds going to the NRA. Butch Stanford, General Manager, opened the original Outpost Armory and will be responsible for both locations.

"We are working with the NRA to streamline membership verification and sales. Our system will track member status and even send renewal reminders prior to membership expiration" Stanford said.

The new location will offer "The Barrett Experience", the opportunity to fire the .50 BMG Barrett Model 82/M107, recently recognized as the state of Tennessee's official state rifle. Rentals of other modern and vintage firearms for on-site use will also be available.

Winchester's latest ammunition line is the Supreme Long Range centerfire rifle ammo, and that line is built around its BC Max projectile. Using a thick, drawn copper jacket, steep boattail at the rear and a relatively oversized polymer tip, the BC Max bullet is built for resisting wind deflection and retaining energy downrange.
