Mainlong Beard XR NWTF Commemerative

Winchester announces its National Wild Turkey Federation 50th Anniversary commemorative Long Beard XR turkey ammunition in 2023, a tribute to one of the most prolific conservation organizations of all time.

The commemorative Long Beard XR calls attention to the NWTF’s 50 years of wild turkey conservation, and its preservation of our hunting heritage. It is available in 12-gauge, 3-inch, No. 5 shot and features NWTF, Winchester and Mossy Oak Original Bottomland camouflage on the packaging.

“The Winchester commitment to conservation spans more than 150 years, and as the NWTF’s first million-dollar sponsor, we congratulate their leadership and membership on this milestone anniversary,” said Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing. “The NWTF has reached millions of people through its conservation, hunting and shooting sports programs, and we’re very honored to help support the organization’s continued efforts.”

Long Beard XR turkey ammunition utilizes patented Shot-Lok resin, which fully encapsulates and buffers the shot within the shell to prevent pellet deformation upon firing. The copper-plated lead shot is kept perfectly round to dramatically improve patterns down range with more hits on target, and increased energy at extended distances.
