Vista Outdoor recently partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to become the official conservation sponsor of the Scouts. Vista Outdoor brands Federal Premium, CCI, Savage Arms, Gold Tip, CamelBak and Bell have become official partners with the Scouts for Shooting Sports, Archery, Hydration and Wheeled Safety.

Federal Premium, CCI and Savage Arms, now the Official Shooting Sports Partners of the Scouts, will provide shotshell and rimfire ammunition and firearms in support of 1,620 Scout Camps that offer shooting sports across the country and will be product providers at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, a training, scouting and adventure center home to the annual Boy Scouts National Jamboree and high adventure courses, located in southern West Virginia. This year, Savage provided 110 rifles for the 2017 Jamboree and High Adventure Camps. Federal and CCI provided ammunition during the Jamboree, too, and helped Scouts fire 346,910 rounds. Gold Tip provided nearly 10,000 custom arrows for the Jamboree alone and will continue to provide all available arrows at the Reserve.

Vista Outdoor’s Director of Conservation, Ryan Bronson, explained: “This historic partnership will help us achieve our mission and support over 2 million Scouts in their ability to enjoy the outdoors and be responsible citizens. Vista Outdoor and its brands have a long history of working with the Boy Scouts, and this partnership is the next logical step. Many of our employees and their children are Scouts, and we understand the significant impact this organization makes in young people’s lives.”

Bronson noted that not only is Vista Outdoor excited to help grow the shooting sports, especially among our youth, but the Boy Scouts of America also shares another important value with the company. “Conservation is a core value for Vista Outdoor,” he said. “Our company believes in supporting conservation of wildlife and wild places, and protecting access to public lands for all outdoor enthusiasts to pursue their adventures. But at its core, we believe in being responsible. The Boy Scouts’ Outdoor Creed aligns perfectly with our company’s culture of responsibility.”
