The firearms market has grown increasingly budget conscious in recent years, and for 2013 Remington wanted to roll out a bolt-action rifle that was easy-on-the-wallet, but still lived up to the company's stellar reputation. The result? The new Remington 783. That "7" in the designation is taken from the 700 line of rifles, the "8" a throwback to the model 788 and the "3" is for 2013. It's designed to fill the gap between the company's Model 700 and Model 770 rifles.
