When a hunt can shift from tight timber at first light to a long look across open country by midmorning, a scope must do more than just magnify. The Leupold VX-4HD is built for exactly that kind of versatility, blending rugged construction, smart engineering and optical performance into a scope that works wherever the hunt takes you.

At the core of the VX-4HD is Leupold’s Elite Optical System, designed to deliver a bright, crisp image when light is fading and details matter most. Glare is reduced, resolution stays sharp and color remains true from dawn to dusk. A true 4:1 zoom range gives you flexibility across varied terrain, while the integrated throw lever allows fast magnification changes without breaking position or losing the target.

For shooters who dial, the CDS-ZL2 elevation system is a standout feature. The Custom Dial System allows you to match your turret to your specific load and conditions, eliminating holdovers at distance. The ZeroLock push button prevents accidental movement, and two full revolutions of elevation adjustment provide confidence for longer shots. Guard-ion lens coating sheds water, dirt, and fingerprints, keeping the view clear when the weather turns against you.

Leupold VX4HD

Built on a lightweight but ultra-rugged 30mm main tube, the VX-4HD disperses recoil energy and is waterproof, fogproof and guaranteed for life. Available in multiple magnification and objective options, including illuminated FireDot models, it is equally at home on a mountain rifle or a range setup.

The Leupold VX-4HD line is built to cover a wide range of hunting and shooting needs, with configuration options that let you tailor the scope to your terrain, rifle, and shooting style. Available magnification ranges include 3-12x40mm, 3-12x50mm and 4-16x50mm, giving hunters the flexibility to move from tight cover to open country without compromise. Each model is built on a 30mm maintube and offers Leupold’s true 4:1 zoom ratio, providing usable magnification across real-world hunting distances.

Reticle choices include classic Duplex, Wind-Plex, and Hunt-Plex options, along with illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticles on select models for improved visibility in low light. Shooters who prefer dialing can choose versions equipped with the CDS-ZL2 elevation system, which lets the Custom Dial System be matched to your specific load, while the ZeroLock feature prevents accidental movement in the field. Some configurations also offer side focus, allowing shooters to make precise parallax adjustments at extended ranges.

All VX-4HD models feature Leupold’s Elite Optical System for excellent light transmission, glare reduction and resolution, along with Guard-ion lens coatings, and are guaranteed for life.
