The phrase "bone-conduction" may sound like the sort of thing more at home in a Halloween catalog than a hunting setting, but as it turns out, it can apply to the latter as well. Walker's has debuted their new Raptor headset featuring bone-conduction technology, a modern approach to hearing enhancement and protection. Utilizing the aforementioned tech, the Raptor headset amplifies ambient sound through bones leading to the inner ear, rather than through ear canals. When used strictly for hearing enhancement, the Raptor requires nothing to cover or be inserted into the ear canals. Pared with your choice of ear plugs, however, the Raptor can help provide hearing protection through Walker's Sound Activated Compression (SAC), combined with the plugs' NRR rating. The Raptor system is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 to allow for music or phone call streaming, which can be controlled via the Walker’s Link app.

The framework of the Walker's Raptor Headset is constructed from a durable polymer, which fits around the back of the head and over the ears. Omni-directional microphones, independent volume control and sound-activated compression are standard, while the rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers an efficient charge for hours of performance.
