Bushnell has announced the reintroduction of its Elite 4500 lineup of scopes with three new riflescopes. These offer a 4X magnification range with each model, along with improved contrast and clarity, and a generous eyebox for easier target acquisition.
Multi X Reticle

Ideal for hunters, the Elite 4500 4X was designed with low-light conditions in mind, thanks to its enhanced optical glass design. A Multi-X reticle paired with a generous eyebox allows users to get on target easily, and fully multi-coated lenses with ultra-wide band coatings contribute to image quality.

A lightweight, waterproof-sealed, aircraft-grade aluminum body with an IPX7 rating is engineered to withstand moisture and harsh temperatures in the long term. For added protection, each riflescope features Bushnell’s EXO Barrier technology which bonds to exterior lens surfaces for repelling water, oil, dust and fog.

To better fit the requirements of almost any hunt, the Elite 4500 4X comes in three models: 1X-4X-24mm ($229.99 MSRP), 2.5X-10X-40mm ($269.99 MSRP) and 4X-16X-50mm ($299.99 MSRP). Each 4500 4X features a fast-focus eyepiece, extend eye relief, capped windage and elevation turrets, and a Mult-X reticle.

All Elite 4500 4X riflescopes are backed by Bushnell’s lifetime warranty. To learn more about Bushnell Elite 4500 4X riflescopes, visit bushnell.com.

Hardware Review: Steyr Pro Hunter III SX

While its most recognizable gun remains the ever-futuristic-looking AUG tactical bullpup first made in 1977 and still used by militaries worldwide, Steyr also makes handguns and hunting rifles. Its Pro Hunter III SX rifle is an all-around hunting rifle and a great example of Steyr quality, a trait much easier felt than described. I’ll try it anyway.

Copper Mine Helps Boost Arizona’s Bighorn Population

One of the world’s most productive copper mines is also one of Arizona’s most reliable sources of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The bighorns are not shy about entering the Freeport McMoRan open-pit mining operation—near Morenci, Ariz.—but predators are. As a result, there’s no natural check on sheep population growth.
