Bass Pro Shops Voted America

Bass Pro Shops—which in 2017 acquired Cabela’s, a favorite among hunters—has once again been named as the retail leader in the outdoor industry in a comprehensive, independent survey. The study, conducted by the global market research and consumer data firm Statista, focused on consumer perspective with more than 140,000 evaluations collected during a two-month period.

Consumers were asked about the likelihood of recommending a retailer to friends and family members. In addition, participants were asked to assess a broad range of factors including product quality, pricing, product range, staff helpfulness, convenience, parking access, cleanliness and more.

“We’re deeply honored by this recognition,” said Johnny Morris, conservationist and founder of Bass Pro Shops. “To be named by customers as the best retailer in our field is especially meaningful, because our total focus has always been to give consumers the best products and the best experiences in a welcoming and fun environment.”

Founded in 1972, Bass Pro from the beginning has taken a different approach to the retail experience for enthusiasts, offering more of a celebration of nature and encouragement to get outside and experience the great outdoors. In that spirit, Bass Pro Shops supports conservation causes across the country, and in the past decade has donated more than 10 percent of its earnings to support conservation efforts. The company also offers 10-percent discounts to current of former members of the military, police officers, firefighters and wildlife agents.

In recent months destination retail locations have opened in Niles, Ohio; West Chester, Ohio; Irvine, Calif.; and Grand Prairie, Texas. Openings are scheduled soon in Spring, Texas; Clifton Park, N.Y.; Odessa, Texas; Tucson, Ariz.; St. Augustine, Fla.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Loveland, Colo.; Tyler, Texas; and Hermantown, Minn.

Millions flock to Bass Pro Shops retail stores each year to experience giant aquariums teeming with live fish, extensive wildlife mounts and dioramas, free family-friendly events and educational outdoor-focused seminars.

Hardware Review: Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T

The Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T. is, put simply, on the fast track to being considered a waterfowling marvel. Standing for Advanced Impact technology, the SBE 3 A.I. shoots its shot with  improved downrange results thanks to a very, very proprietary barrel technology that actually assists in energy retention for greater downrange velocity.
