Hawk has introduced its Double Down Box Blind, designed to provide hunters scent, thermal and noise control all while keeping them concealed. The blind is built with an insulated interior, steel exterior surfaces, and an insulated, powder-coated steel floor. This steel floor is topped with a one-inch high-density rubber mat which will dampen even the loudest noises, so hunters won’t be detected or spook their target species.

True to its name, the Double Down is dimensioned for two hunters. The interior is an ultra-dark black, preventing shadows and allowing for less-detectable movements. One-piece roto-molded window frames will keep hunters dry no matter the conditions, and the unit is built with one-hand operable silent windows made of residential glass. The door is a full-frame “RV”-style door equipped with a handle and secure lock.

The Double Down measures 5’WX6’DX6.5’T, and ships fully assembled so it’s field ready. Multiple tower combo options can also be purchased, including a five foot and 10 foot tower base, plus it comes with a limited lifetime warranty, as does every Hawk blind.

Hardware Review: Bergara B-15 Squared CIMA CF

The Bergara B-14 Squared Cima CF design and weight split the difference between traditional hunting rifles and ultralight rigs. It does use carbon fiber, but it doesn’t try to be ultralight at the expense of skeletonizing or titanium.
