Combining battery power with the in-field reliability of a solar cell, the Element Mini Solar, from Sightmark, is a red dot that has the option of running off a single CR2032 battery or solar energy. While it will generally run off the CR2032, users have the option of flipping a switch to cause the device to run off the solar cells instead. Should the CR2032 battery go fully dead, the red-dot is also capable of running entirely off solar power.

Ideal for use on anything from an MSR to a turkey gun, the Element Mini Solar delivers a clear 3-m.o.a. red-dot in virtually any environment. It also boasts a co-witness mount with adjustable height, a low Picatinny mount, protective adjustment caps that double as tools for making windage/elevation adjustments, manual digital switch brightness controls and a hinged battery door. For more information on this compact, 1x28 mm red-dot, please visit sightmark.comMSRP: $199

Range Review: Winchester Supreme Long Range Ammo

Winchester's latest ammunition line is the Supreme Long Range centerfire rifle ammo, and that line is built around its BC Max projectile. Using a thick, drawn copper jacket, steep boattail at the rear and a relatively oversized polymer tip, the BC Max bullet is built for resisting wind deflection and retaining energy downrange. Check out Phil Massaro's review of the new ammo line here.
