Bushnell, an industry leader in high-performance sporting optics, has recognized American Hunter contributor Bryce M. Towsley with the 2018 Bill McRae Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was established in 2011 by Bushnell to honor Bill McRae, a legendary writer and photojournalist, for the vast contributions he made to the optics and outdoor industry throughout his 50-year career. It is presented annually to recognize McRae and other leading journalists who have followed his example and made a profound impact in the industry.

An active 3-gun and USPSA shooter, Towsley, a Vermont native, has hunted across the country and across the globe, and he has been a consultant for companies across the shooting industry. He published his first article, about hunting with handguns, in 1982 in Vermont Sportsman.
