For 2017, Winchester is adding .223 Rem. and 6.5 Creedmoor to its ever-popular Deer Season XP line of rifle cartridges.

Both cartridges have become increasingly popular in the whitetail-hunting community, especially among those that own AR-style rifles. They'll join Winchester's already robust line of Deer Season XP offerings. The .223 Rem. cartridge offers a 64-grain bullet that's specifically designed for deer hunting (where legal). The 6.5 Creedmoor option will be available in a 125-grain bullet. Both loads ship with 20 rounds to a box.

“By including the .223 Remington and 6.5 Creedmoor in our Deer Season XP lineup, we now join the most popular type of hunting with two additional calibers,” said Matt Campbell, Winchester Ammunition vice president of marketing and sales.

The Deer Season XP line is also available in the following calibers.

• .243 Win.
• .270 Win.
• .270 WSM
• 7mm-08 Rem.
• 7mm Rem. Mag.
• .308 Win.
• 30-30 Win.
• .30-06 Springfield
• .300 Win. Mag.
• .300 WSM
• 300 Blackout
