The July, 2015, issue of American Hunter magazine covered the history of wildlife conservation in the United States and explained the current North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. The article concluded with mention of a scholarship for women college students majoring in wildlife management/conservation. If you are aware of a female college hopeful considering such a major, let them know that they may be eligible for a partial scholarship in their junior and senior year.  The application can be completed online at http://wwmcs.nra.org/, which includes submitting an essay.

All this is made possible by the Women's Policies Committee of the National Rifle Association and includes a renewable, one-year $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must complete the online forms no later than November 1.

To support the Women's Wildlife Management/Conservation Scholarship, please send contributions to The NRA Foundation, c/o Ruthann Sprague at 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030. Contributions to The NRA Foundation, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by federal law.
