Mainsuper Pheasant Diamong Grade

Winchester has debuted its Super Pheasant Diamond Grade shotshell ammunition, bringing eight-percent antimony, copper-plated shot to the upland fields in a five-shot configuration. Initial offerings include 2-3/4 inch for 12- and 20-gauge, as well as a hard hitting 3-inch 12-gauge load. Velocities for 2-3/4-inch loads sit around 1300 fps, while three-inch loads bump that number up to 1350 fps.

A key differentiator in this shotshell is its namesake Diamond Grade Shot. The eight-percent antimony (hardening alloy) is four times more antimony than standard target loads, resulting in the hardest copper-plated shot available to shooters. The shot is also precision sorted, meaning only the roundest shot is used. This results in tighter patterns and more downrange energy whether shooting clays, or fast-flying pheasants.

Range Review: Winchester Supreme Long Range Ammo

Winchester's latest ammunition line is the Supreme Long Range centerfire rifle ammo, and that line is built around its BC Max projectile. Using a thick, drawn copper jacket, steep boattail at the rear and a relatively oversized polymer tip, the BC Max bullet is built for resisting wind deflection and retaining energy downrange.
