Fresh off its late-December teaser video, Savage Arms has announced that it will be entering the AR-15 market with the introduction of the new Savage MSR line. In this case, though, the company is using the "MSR" to brand its new line "Modern Savage Rifles."

At its launch, the line will feature four models: the MSR 15 Patrol, MSR 15 Recon, MSR 10 Hunter and MSR 10 Long Range. The MSR 15 Patrol and MSR 15 Recon will both be chambered in .223 Rem., while the MSR 10 Hunter and MSR 10 Long Range will both be available in either .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor.

MSR 15 Patrol
The MSR 15 Patrol serves as Savage's most basic MSR, though it still ships with a few frills. It features a Mil-spec upper and lower receiver, a 223 Wylde target chamber, 5R rifling and a Melonite QPQ finish. It also comes with a Blackhawk handguard, pistol grip and adjustable buttstock. It ships with an MSRP of $852.

MSR 15 Recon
The MSR 15 Recon brings all of the Patrol's traits, but with a few more Blackhawk enhancements. A Blackhawk AR Blaze trigger, Knoxx AR Pistol Grip, Axiom Carbine Stock and flip-up sights are all included. The Recon ships with an MSRP of $999.

MSR 10 Hunter
The MSR 10 Hunter, naturally, takes it name in part from the AR-10 design it emulates. As its name suggests, Savage views it as the model that hunters will call upon most often, hence the .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor chamberings. It features all the same accessories as the MSR 15 Recon, and will have a sticker price of $1,481.

MSR 10 Long Range
The MSR 10 Long Range is the most tricked out of the bunch, featuring a fluted heavy barrel with a Melonite QPQ finish. The custom forged upper/lower gives it a unique look and compact size. It comes with a Magpul PRS Gen3 buttstock and a Blackhawk AR Blaze two-stage trigger. Its MSRP is $2,284.

Savage is officially rolling out the rifles at SHOT Show 2017. Stay tuned to AmericanHunter.org for more coverage.
