Ruger has introduced a new rifle to its popular American Rimfire line in the form of the American Rimfire Target.

The Rimfire Target features a 0.850" diameter, cold hammer-forged, 1/2-28" threaded target barrel. It will be available in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR. The free-floated barrel is topped with a one-piece Picatinny rail, leaving it ready to accept any optic.

The Target model has Ruger's Power Bedding integral bedding clocks, a Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger and the company's patented, detachable rotary magazine. The rifle sports a black laminate stock and a factory-installed, knurled thread protector.

Front and rear sling swivel studs are built into the stock, as well as a metal trigger guard and a rubber buttpad.

Hardware Review: Steyr Pro Hunter III SX

While its most recognizable gun remains the ever-futuristic-looking AUG tactical bullpup first made in 1977 and still used by militaries worldwide, Steyr also makes handguns and hunting rifles.
