LEDE Delta Mckenzie X Ray Series

I usually don't boast about products I haven't tested. However, Delta McKenzie targets have always been some of my favorites, and the X-Ray Series caught my eye.

The X-ray Series consists of the Big Daddy Buck, Grizzly Bear, and Elk 3-D targets. It takes shot placement, no matter the target or shot angle, and shows the arrow's exact placement in the vitals via AI technology.

How?

QuivAR is a target and archery shot analysis app that pairs with virtual 3-D anatomy inside a foam target. All QuivAR-enabled targets come with an NFC chip integrated into the rear of QuivAR-enabled targets. Archers download the QuivAR app and use their smartphone like a pay-by-phone deal like Apple Pay.

When the Ready to Scan words appear on your phone, you're ready to begin the setup process. Once you do this, AI technology scans the target's image, places the target's internal anatomy, and shows that anatomy on your phone. All internal anatomy scans are species-specific, so elk vitals are exact, whitetail articles are accurate, etc.

The app shows the entire internal anatomy, including the skeletal structure. The app also allows the user to remove different areas of the anatomy to further study exactly where specific organs sit. I have yet to see an animal anatomy education device as effective as this new technology appears. The technology lets the user see where vitals, bone structure, etc. sit from any angle. Hold your phone on the target and walk around the target (broadside, frontal, quartering, etc.) and see precisely where the vitals sit.

After shooting your target of choice, use your phone to bring up the anatomy and see exactly where your arrow hit in the vitals. There is so much to learn from this technology, and I've already got a Delta McKenzie with QuivAR coming.

According to BIGShot and Delta McKenzie, more targets using QuivAR's X-Ray Series will emerge. The target size is unaffected, and nothing inside the target can be damaged. The key is the NFC chip.

For example, if you purchase Delta McKenzie's Big Daddy X-Ray Series Buck Archery Target ($349.99), you still get lifelike 3D realism, easy arrow removal, self-healing foam, etc. However, you also get a design that replicates a 250-plus pound whitetail with QuivAR Technology so you can analyze your shot placement in the target's vitals. No power or charging device is necessary; the QuivAR app is a free download, and you can use broadheads and field points. For more on this, check out dmtargets.com.
