LEDE Last Call TSS

Winchester has announced the launch of Last Call TSS shotshell ammunition, developed to exceed the demands of even the hardest-charging waterfowl hunters.

Last Call features Tungsten Super Shot (TSS), a premium component that provides incredibly dense patterns with pellet counts that are lethal at longer ranges. In addition, Winchester included a sealed wad and primer, which keeps components dry in the harshest of conditions. Last Call is available in 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410-bore, and in all the shot sizes appropriate for the pursuit of waterfowl with TSS. This is one of the primary benefits of TSS as, thanks to its incredible density, far smaller shot can be used than with steel, resulting in larger clouds of simultaneously harder-hitting shot. It is, essentially, a win-win.

Winchester Last Call TSS

“For decades, Winchester has been at the forefront of developing the very best products for waterfowl hunters and once again, our team has added a superior product to our portfolio with Last Call,” said Kyle Masinelli, senior director of product innovation and strategy. “Waterfowl hunters who want the best available will certainly see the benefits of this highly effective shotshell and the Winchester brand remains committed to offering products to suit every hunter’s needs to remain the number one choice at duck camps throughout North America.”

Member's Hunt: Patience is Tough When You Shoot a Big Buck

My phone still in my hands, I texted my teenage son, who was hunting along the field not far away. Trying not to move any part of my body but my thumbs, I sent the message, “Got a buck down, but he’s still alive. Help!” Tucker texted back, “What do you want me to do?” I replied: “Come kill the bastard before he kills me!” Intrigued? Read on.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

Norma’s ballistician Nils Kvale saw the wisdom of having the velocity and horsepower of the .300 H&H Magnum, but in a shorter, more affordable receiver, and used the H&H case to develop his .358 Norma Magnum in 1959 as well as the .308 Norma Magnum one year later. The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued?
