Silencer Central has launched Silencer Central’s 100 Days of Silence, a daily giveaway that will award 200 suppressors over 100 consecutive days. The campaign, which is the largest suppressor giveaway ever staged in the United States, began April 17 and runs through July 25, 2026. Total prize value exceeds $200,000. No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to enter.

Two suppressors will be awarded every day. Each morning, a sponsor’s featured product is paired with a suppressor—one entry, one winner takes both. Banish provides a suppressor for a suppressor-only drawing every afternoon during the campaign.

Purchases of the hearing-healthy devices skyrocketed Jan. 1, 2026, when the price of the National Firearms Act Stamp required to take possession of one dropped from $200 to $0. Roughly 30 percent of suppressors owned today are used for hunting.

Morning giveaways in the 100 Days of Silence campaign open at 6:00 a.m. central time. The afternoon giveaways open at 12:00 p.m. central time. A separate daily visit to this website gives participants a chance to win every single day. There is no automatic carryover from previous entries. Participants must return and enter each day for every giveaway they wish to enter.

“Suppressors protect hearing, reduce noise complaints, and make shooting more enjoyable for everyone on and off the range,” said Joe Kurtenbach, Silencer Central senior manager of media and relationships. “For 90 years a $200 tax stamp stood between Americans and hearing protection they should have had all along. Now that barrier is gone, and 100 Days of Silence is our way of putting suppressors into the hands of 200 new owners who can experience the difference firsthand.”

Morning giveaways are presented by Silencer Central and feature prize packages from leading firearm manufacturers. Confirmed sponsors include Wilson Combat, Weatherby, Rock River Arms, Ruger, Kimber, CZ-USA, Savage Arms, Bergara, The Ranch TX, Real Avid, Height Defense and Banish Suppressors. Additional brands are expected to join throughout the campaign. Afternoon giveaways are provided by Banish and award Banish-brand suppressors.

Certain limitations apply, including all Federal, state and local regulations. Complete details and rules are found at popularsuppressors.com.

Member's Hunt: Patience is Tough When You Shoot a Big Buck

My phone still in my hands, I texted my teenage son, who was hunting along the field not far away. Trying not to move any part of my body but my thumbs, I sent the message, “Got a buck down, but he’s still alive. Help!” Tucker texted back, “What do you want me to do?” I replied: “Come kill the bastard before he kills me!” Intrigued? Read on.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

Norma’s ballistician Nils Kvale saw the wisdom of having the velocity and horsepower of the .300 H&H Magnum, but in a shorter, more affordable receiver, and used the H&H case to develop his .358 Norma Magnum in 1959 as well as the .308 Norma Magnum one year later. The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued?
