CMMG has expanded its MkW Anvil lineup with the addition of three new rifles chambered in 6.5 Grendel. The arrival of 6.5 Grendel models comes less than a year after the introduction of MkW Anvil platform, initially chambered in .458 SOCOM.

The Anvil is a mid-sized AR-style rifle platform that is engineered to handle calibers with large casing diameters and high bolt thrust. The model features CMMG's PowerBolt design, which allows the rifle to utilize a modified AR10-sized bolt for increased durability. The Anvil is built on an AR10-sized frame, with the upper shortened by three quarters of an inch to minimize weight. That said, the magwell on the lower receiver has been designed to accept standard AR15-style magazines.

"Our mission is simple. We strive to deliver rifles that are optimized to run efficiently for the long haul. We're not just doing what everyone else is doing. Our engineers are creating unique rifles that are specifically designed to harness calibers that are known to be problematic when used in an AR15 platform," commented Chris Reinkemeyer, CEO of CMMG.

Each MkW Anvil in 6.5 Grendel will ship with one 10-round magazine. The MSRP will start at $1,699.95.

Three Whitetail Traps to Set for Close Shots

Your whitetail hunting location may be as expansive as a national forest or as small as an uncle’s 40-acre woodlot.
