Davidson's has teamed with Pietta Italia to create three new Exclusive offerings.

Following on the success of Davidson’s Exclusive single-action 1873 revolvers, made available in June of 2020, Davidson’s now offers two more variants of the 1873 Western. These new Davidson’s Exclusives are convertible models, each coming with two cylinders—one chambered in .45 Colt and one in 45 ACP. Offered with a 4.75-inch or a 5.5-inch barrel, they both feature a deep blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The trigger guard, front strap, and back strap are a high-polished brass.

Sights are of the open fixed variety, with a notch at rear and a bladed front. A four-click hammer is standard on these 1873 models.

The companion piece to these new single-actions is the 1878 Double Barrel Deluxe Coach side-by-side shotgun. Chambered in 12 gauge, it features 20-inch barrels, a walnut stock, 2.75-inch chamber, color case-hardened receiver, fixed cylinder choke, bead sight, double trigger, and double working external hammers.

“I am really excited to see the first shipment of our new Exclusives from Pietta have arrived”, said Marshall King, Davidson’s buyer. “I’m always impressed when a manufacturer can ‘wow’ you with fit, finish, and attention to detail and our partners at Pietta hit it out of the park with these new Exclusives.”
