CVA has announced the Paramount HTR. This is identical to previous Paramounts, except for its stock, coated in Realtree Hillside camo, which boasts an adjustable comb despite being lighter overall. This is due to an internal aluminum chassis that, in addition to cutting weight, provides a rock-solid foundation for the barreled action. This muzzleloader has a free-floating barrel, comes with a self- deploying compact ramrod, and is available in both .40 and .45 calibers.

The rifles of the Paramount Series are specifically developed and designed to handle “super-magnum” propellant charges up to 170 grains by volume (119 by weight) of Blackhorn 209, and thus provide muzzle velocities comparable to centerfire rifles. In fact, Paramount Pro and Paramount HTR .40-caliber offerings are capable of muzzle velocities as high as 2850 fps, producing a 400-yard drop of 23 inches.
