It’s hard to beat a little double-action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle for all-around plinking and small-game hunting, and the new 942 offering from Taurus fits the bill without breaking the bank.

It’s available in matte black alloy steel or stainless steel, and with 2- or 3-inch barrels. The little wheel-guns sport soft rubber grips, 8-round cylinders and spurred hammers. The front sight is a serrated ramp; the rear sight is drift-adjustable for windage. Weights for the two and three-inch versions come in at around 18 and 24 ounces, respectively.

The new 942 revolver has an MSRP of $369.52 for the matte black alloy steel version, and $384.97 for the stainless-steel version. For more information, visit taurususa.com.
