The new Ruger-57 isn’t your standard semi-auto handgun. At a casual glance it appears similar, but it’s chambered in the sizzling little 5.7X28mm bottleneck cartridge, with a magazine capacity of 20+1. That’s a lot of firepower.

The 5.7 is an awesome round for hunting varmints and predators, where the extra velocity helps make shots at distances that are pushing the normal limits of handgun accuracy. Featuring a 4.94-inch alloy steel barrel, Picatinny rail, windage and elevation adjustable rear and fiber optic front sights, and a tactile, 1911-syle ambidextrous safety, the pistol is as ergonomic as it is innovative.

MSRP for this full-sized sporty handgun is $799. For more information, visit ruger.com.
