Leica Sport Optics has announced a limited special edition of its flagship Ultravid HD-Plus binoculars, which will feature a green leather armoring and an Aneas carrying case. Four models of the Edition Safari binos will be available, and only 100 units of each model will be produced.

The green leather armoring enhances a lightweight magnesium body that's designed to withstand the rigors of Mother Nature. Each bino comes with two sets of leather carry straps, and the leather-trimmed Aneas case provides protection with a bit of style.

The core of the package, though, is Leica's venerable design. The Ultravid HD-Plus line features industry-leading glass technologies, and produce some of the highest light transmission on the market thanks to advanced-engineered lenses and coatings and the company's SCHOTT HT prism glass.

Ultravid HD-Plus Edition Safari is available in four models: 8x32 and 10x32 with selling prices of $2,199 and $2,249, and 8x42 and 10x42 with selling prices of $2,499 and $2,549.
