Yes, Savage Arms is best-known for its rifles. But that doesn't mean shotguns are out of the question. For 2016, the company has rolled out its custom Model 212 and 220 turkey shotguns, which are meant to redefine the look and capability of a turkey gun. Both firearms are available through the company's Special Order Department.

Inspiration for the new gobbler getters came company’s immensely successful Model 212 and 220 Slug Guns, bolt-action shotguns that, since their introduction in 2011 and 2010, have frequently been requested by consumers. For the 220 Turkey’s foundation, Savage Arms utilized its renowned Model 110 rifle receiver/action, which is machined from steel bar stock and drilled and tapped for the addition of a red-dot, reflex-style sight, or riflescope. Chambered in 12 gauge, naturally the Model 212 Turkey requires the use of a larger receiver/action.
