O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc., has announced a new summer-long promotion: With the purchase of any member of the company's new Blaze family of rimfire rifles, consumers will receive two free 10 or 25-round magazines. The promotion covers all Blaze rifles purchased between June 1, 2015 and August 31, 2015, and will deliver more than $50 in savings to those that take advantage of it.

The American-made Blaze 22LR is a lightweight, easy-handling rimfire that's going to be available in four finishes. Its design incorporates a polymer receiver and action, house in a synthetic stock. Consumers will have a choice of adjustable rifle sights, barrel-mounted rail or in Scoped Combo packages featuring Dead Ringer Monteria Green Dot sights.

The Blaze 47 is a variant to the line. As its name suggests, the Blaze 47 is designed to replicate the look and feel of the AK-47. Available with fixed-length wood stocks or adjustable black synthetic stocks, the rifles do an exceptional job at capturing the look and feel of the legendary military-style platform.

The 2015 summer offer is valid in the U.S. and Canada. Redemption claims must be submitted or postmarked by Sept. 30, 2015. Submission can be made online or through the mail. The proper paperwork can be found here.

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

“If you’ve got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself,” said Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand. NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
