undefinedThe 143rd NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits are already drawing a crowd—and the doors don’t open until tomorrow. As a few of us got off the plane in Indianapolis, we ran right into former USMC Lt. Col. Oliver North, noted conservative political commentator and television host, military historian and New York Times best-selling author. North is always a popular attraction at the NRA show and will be signing copies of his book, American Heroes on the Homefront, tomorrow—Friday, Apr. 25, at 4 p.m.—in the Indiana Convention Center lobby across from Hall D.

I got a glimpse of Indy during my ride to the hotel and was quite impressed. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll spot the Indianapolis Colts’ stadium on your left as you head downtown. Of course, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS)—the world’s largest spectator sport facility—is here and houses 250,000 permanent seats. For some trivia, the IMS could encompass Churchill Downs, Yankee Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Roman Colosseum and Vatican City. As I said earlier this morning, there's so much to see here—not to mention a huge NRA convention!
