Crimson Trace takes a big step from laser sights and lights to offer a full line of riflescopes in 2019. The line includes multiple Sport and Tactical models in three series, ranging in magnification and objective size from the 2-Series 1X-4X-24mm CTA-2104 to the 5-Series 3X-24X-56mm CTL-5324. All have fully-multi-coated Japanese ED glass, an illuminated reticle, and waterproof, fog-proof and shock-proof construction. They are built on single-piece, Type 3 hard-anodized, 6061-T6 aluminum tubes. Six models have 34mm tubes, while five have 30mm tubes. The 3X-9X-40mm CSA-2309 is one of the latter, and it offers hunters a host of features such as zero-resettable turrets, 11 illumination settings and a first-focal-plane MOA-based holdover reticle at an attractive price. Like all Crimson Trace scopes, it is backed by a full lifetime warranty and is covered under the company’s “Free Batteries for Life” program. The CSA-2309 is less than 11 inches long and weighs less than 20 ounces. Learn more about it in the video embedded above. MSRP: $499; crimsontrace.com.
