APEX Ammunition 28 Gauge Mossy Oak Green Leaf Turkey TSS LEDE

Apex Ammunition has introduced its new 28-gauge Mossy Oak Green Leaf Turkey TSS Blend.

Available in 2 ¾-inch, 1 ½-ounce loads, these “duplex” stacked loads feature a combination of No. 9 and No. 10 Tungsten Super Shot, delivering a payload of 665 ultra-dense 18.1 g/cc pellets in a 28-gauge shell. Handloaded for quality control and performance, this sub-gauge turkey round delivers a dense pattern that hits with exceptional energy and knockdown power. Each shell features clean burning powder and Apex’s Tungsten Propulsion Wad System, engineered to deliver the tightest patterns possible and maximum barrel protection.

“The sheer density of TSS and its lethal performance in the field has been driving the resurgence of sub-gauge guns, and we are seeing high demand for 20- and 28-gauge turkey ammunition and even .410 loads for turkey,” said Jason Lonsberry, president and CEO of Apex Ammunition. “Once word got out about the performance of our Mossy Oak Green Leaf Turkey TSS Blend in 12- and 20-gauge last spring, there was immediate demand for a 28-gauge version which we’re happy to now offer.”

Sub-gauges—and 28-gauge in particular—have seen a recent surge in popularity, thanks in no small part to the appearance of tungsten and and tungsten super shot (TSS) loads. With a density 22-percent greater than standard tungsten, and 56-percent denser than lead, TSS allows hunters to reach out and smack birds from greater ranges with greater confidence. Apex 28-gauge Mossy Oak Green Leaf Turkey TSS Blend takes this even further, with its premium powder and Tungsten Propulsion Wad System.

Designed for maximum penetration at extended ranges, Apex Turkey TSS loads are currently available in multiple gauges—10 gauge, 12 gauge, 16 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge and .410 bore—as well as a variety of shot sizes, shell lengths and blends. Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

“If you’ve got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself,” said Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand. NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
