Rungu Dualie Steep Lead

Rungu has announced new Dualie Double Wheel E-Bike models for 2022. The Rungu Dualie Standard and Steep models offer a new battery-integrated frame design with a higher breakover angle. The new frame makes battery swaps easier with a 15 Ah integrated battery pack. The new frame design raises the Bafang BBSHD 52V mid-drive motor increasing clearance by an inch to allow improved obstacle clearance and shallow water crossings.

Rungu Dualie Rugged and XR models get new, higher-energy density Li-Ion batteries to achieve 30 percent more range over prior models. The 18Ah Li-Ion batteries have the same weight and dimensions as earlier 15Ah models, making these higher-capacity batteries compatible with prior generations of Rungu Mid-drive-based e-bikes.

Rungu’s patented double-front-wheel design continues to demonstrate its off-road bona fides conquering famous rock crawling trails like the Rubicon Trail, Poison Spider, Hells Revenge as well as mud and sand backcountry terrain like the Alpine Loop in Colorado and the Mojave Trail in southern California. On iconic off-road terrain like this, the Rungu Dualie Double Wheel Design virtually eliminates washouts and over-the-bar wipeouts common to more-expensive e-bikes of similar power.

Rungu Dualie Double Wheel e-bikes continue to be built-to-order in southern California. As of the end of January 2022, Rungu is sold out due to high-demand and persistent supply chain challenges. The company is taking pre-orders and expects to resume shipments in late March 2022.

Rungu Dualie models start at $4,899 and ship throughout the United States and around the world.

Check out Rungu’s e-bike lineup at the Great American Outdoor Show (Booth #3603) in Harrisonburg, Pa., Feb. 5-13, 2022. For purchase and dealer inquiries, contact [email protected].
