O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. has announced the introduction of a limited-edition 12-gauge 500 Centennial pump-action shotgun in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary.

The commemorative 500 Centennial features a nickel-plated receiver engraved with the Mossberg 100th Anniversary logo on the right side and a pair of flushing ruffed grouse on the left, highlighted in 24 karat gold. The shotgun’s traditionally-styled, high-gloss walnut stock and forend features fine checkering on the pistol grip and wraps around the underside of the underside of the forend. The butt of the stock is fit with a classic red rubber recoil pad.

A distinctive jeweled bolt, a gold-plated trigger and a high-polished blue metal finish on the barrel compliment the 500 Centennial’s high-gloss wood finish. The 28-inch vent rib barrel comes with the company’s interchangeable Accu-Choke choke tubes (F, M and IC).

Designed for reliable, smooth operation, standard features of the Mossberg 500 include non-binding twin action bars, dual extractors, a positive steel-to-steel lock-up, an anti-jam elevator, an anodized aluminum receiver and an ambidextrous tang-mounted safety.

The limited-edition 500 Centennial has an MSRP of $910. Only 750 limited-edition shotguns will be made, each with a special serial number that incorporates a unique prefix, used only for this production run.
