undefinedAs day two of the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits continues to draw huge crowds, I've chatted with countless wonderful NRA members but perhaps the most inspiring person I've met is Maj. Ed Polido. This great American delivered a truly rousing speech at yesterday's NRA-ILA Leadership Forum. Speaking from his own personal experience in fighting for our country, Polido was seriously wounded by an IED blast in Iraq and returned home to face unimaginable physical and psychological challenges. What turned things around for him was reaching out for and accepting support from others, and focusing on helping service members and families in similar circumstances.

Among his injuries was the loss of his left leg so when I ran into him againlast night at the NRA Country Jam IV—sponsored by Bushnell and the Folds of Honor Foundation—he was drawing his fair share of crowds, proudly showing fellow NRA members his new prosthesis featuring the "Warriors for Freedom" and "Folds of Honor Foundation" logos. Maj. Ed Polido is proof of how one person can make a difference and reminds us all that "freedom isn't free."

The Folds of Honor Foundation supports the families of America's fallen and disabled heroes and is sponsored by Bushnell. For more information, visit FoldsofHonor.org.
